Underpinning, Bondi Beach

For this exciting project, our client in Bondi Beach wanted to build a man cave below his property. The only way to acquire space under the house was by underpinning.

This was a very complex process that takes considerable time and patience. Our client had a single car space under his house with a lot of ground behind it, so we underpinned the existing footings on the house down to rock to allow excavation.

While we had to work in confined spaces with very low head room, we were able to create a whole new space below our client’s house.

Our client was delighted with our ability and the overall execution of this complex project, which now features a wine cellar, rumpus room and theatre.
